Merlin Theatre Seats

Sheffield’s lovely Merlin Theatre has been renovated as a glorious resource for the local community. But we are still missing the seats. We need your support to help bring the theatre alive!

The Merlin is a purpose built 202 seat theatre set in the beautiful grounds of Tintagel House in Nether Edge, Sheffield. Built in 1969 the Merlin is considered to be one of the finest small theatres in England. During the harsh winter of 2010/11 the theatre’s water tanks burst causing significant damage and lead to its closure. Thanks to successful fundraising the Merlin now has a fresh, joyous interior. We now just need new seating.

Merlin Theatre JustGiving Campaign

The Merlin will be a beautiful home for music and drama that are vital to improve self-esteem and develop creativity and confidence for young people with learning disabilities. Alongside performances by students from Freeman College and Brantwood Specialist School the local community will enjoy a lively cultural programme celebrating the rich diversity of creative talent in Sheffield.

Each donor will receive a limited edition handmade pewter Merlin badge.

Donate £500 or over and have a theatre chair individually named for you or someone you’d like to honour
